Benefits of water for skin and health
Health
It is well known by all that life without water would simply disappear. Daily, our body carries out multiple processes in which we lose fluids, so their replenishment is simply essential.
We recommend drinking 2 to 3 liters of water as a minimum, preferably distributed as follows:
In the morning: consume one liter, divided into half-hour intervals.
In the afternoon: drink 1 liter divided into half-hour intervals.
At night: consume 1 liter at 60-minute intervals.
The consequences of not drinking enough water: discomfort such as headaches, fatigue, mood changes, cramps, muscle pain. These symptoms usually occur due to small states of dehydration.
Remember, proper water consumption helps maintain the beauty of hair, nails and skin, and is an excellent helper when it comes to losing weight.
Drink Without Waiting for Thirst
With the sun and heat we sweat more and, consequently, fluid loss increases. If we add to this that the more fluid is lost, the more the body’s ability to regulate temperature decreases, it is understood how fundamental it is to replenish that water. But we should not wait to feel thirsty to drink water: a dry mouth is already a symptom of dehydration, and the instinct to drink is lost with progressive dehydration. Therefore, we should not rely on thirst and it is advisable to drink 8 to 10 glasses regularly throughout the day.
And the more humidity, the more water we will drink. Heat, humidity and physical exercise are the ideal conditions for dehydration to appear. A 2% loss of body water means a 20% loss of physical energy; exhaustion accelerates with fluid loss and when 20% of the body’s water is lost, the risk of suffering serious complications increases.
But apart from the sun, heat and exercise, other circumstances require an extraordinary supply of fluids: fever, and especially diarrhea and vomiting, whose incidence increases in summer due to gastroenteritis, more frequent at this time of year.
